Jackson Curbside GARBAGE Customers:
PLEASE NOTE THAT GARBAGE MUST BE PLACED CURBSIDE BY 7 AM ON COLLECTION DAY
You are receiving this notice because we wish to review the rules and requirements of your service. We find this necessary in order to continue to provide you with economical service, but to also provide our employees with safe conditions. As time goes by, things may be forgotten, overlooked, or slowly evolved into incorrect conditions. If you notice a change in your service or if you are red-tagged, please understand that these changes are necessary for everyone involved. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. These changes will take effect immediately, although a one-month grace period will be allowed to use up your black bags.
From now on, the staff will strictly adhere to the following rules:
Garbage MUST be in clear (or translucent) bags per County Ordinance. Clear, white, blue and other colored bags that can be seen into are okay. Black or brown bags are not allowed. (One month grace period given to use them up).
Garbage means household waste only - it does not include construction material, yard waste, brush, carpet, furniture or materials banned from landfilling such as electronics, appliances, tires, oil, recyclables or hazardous chemicals.
Bags cannot weigh more than 50 lbs each nor be bigger than 35 gallons. This is especially important for the health and safety of our employees.
Cat litter must be bagged – preferably double-bagged – and small enough not to exceed 50 lbs.
Recycling must be prepared as listed on the other side. It is preferable for the recycling to be loose in one container (except for the paper as noted) so it can be emptied loose into the truck and then dumped onto the conveyor for sorting.
Must be at edge of road or by mailbox by 7:00 AM on scheduled pick-up day. We realize that often a route will become somewhat routine, but drivers and routes do change, so you can’t always count on the driver getting there past a certain hour.
Our drivers are not responsible for debris that has been scattered by animals or other causes prior to our arrival. It is your responsibility to assure that bags are in proper cans or are placed out the morning of the pick-up. If we tear a bag or drop materials, only then will our drivers be responsible for cleaning it up.
THANK YOU FOR FOLLOWING THE RULES SO THAT WE CAN KEEP THESE SERVICES AVAILABLE FOR YOU AT COMPETITIVE RATES.
