Town Board Meeting – Jackson Town Hall          

September 11, 2018  6:30 PM

                Attending:   Larry Borud, Robert Bonnett, Gordon Addy, Delores Benish, Candy Pegler

                Guests:  18

Call to Order by Chairman Borud at 6:30 PM

Open Meeting Compliance Certification this meeting:  Notice posted 9/6/18 at Town Hall and Town website by C Pegler  

                Agenda:  Motion by Bonnett to approve;  Second by Borud  -M/C

                Minutes:  Motion by Bonnet to approve minutes of 8/16/18;  Second by Borud  -M/C

                Bills Approval:  Motion by Bonnett to approve bills as presented on check #s: 11184-11200 for a total amount of $50,714.31:  Second by Addy  -M/C               

Treasurer’s report read and filed.

New Business (all votes were by voice vote)

  • Motion by Bonnett that the Town does not object to the Special Exception permit request for A. Hinkel, 3235 County Road G to build a garage without a permanent residence;  Second by Borud  -M/C  Borud-Y, Bonnett-Y,  Addy-N
  • Motion by Bonnett to adopt Resolution 2018-004 Procedures for Variance & Special Exception Permit Requests;  Second by Addy  -M/C
  • Motion by Bonnett to adopt Ordinance 2007-001 Parks Amendment #1 to delete section M, WEAPONS; Second by Addy  -M/C
  • Motion by Bonnett to approve overnight stay for Clerk to attend the WTA convention in October;  Second by Addy  -M/C
  • Motion by Addy to approve LRIP project change from Freedom Rd to 1st Dr;  Second by Borud  -M/C

Unfinished Business (all votes were by voice vote)

  • Motion by Addy to accept new ATV/UTV Route map as it pertains to County Road A and Goose Lake subdivision;  Second by Bonnett  -M/C


  • Adams County Drug Court: presentation by Judge Dan Wood, DA Tania Bonnett and Sheriff Sam Wollin on the new Adams County Drug Court
  • 2019 EMS Contract:  Sites for facilities still in question;  no approved dollars by Marquette County Board for 2019 contracts
  • N Fawn Ct:  per resident, road has not been maintained for years;  worried about possible ATV/UTV users and children who use the dead-end road to play;  requests at the very least, a “Dead-End” sign to be posted by Town
  • Jordan Lake:  temporary No-Wake restriction enacted by Town due to extremely high lake level;  will stay in effect until deemed safe to remove restriction.
