Town Board Meeting – Jackson Town Hall

February 13, 2017   7:00 PM

 

            Attending:  George Benish, Larry Borud, Robert Bonnett, Delores Benish, Candy Pegler

                Guests:  9

Call to Order by Chairman Benish at 7:00 PM

Open Meeting Compliance Certification this meeting:  Notice posted  2/11/17 at Town Hall and Town website by C Pegler

               Agenda:  Motion by Borud to approve;  Second by Bonnett  -M/C

                Minutes: Motionby Bonnet to approve minutes of 1/10/17 and 1/20/17;  Second by Borud 

                  -M/C

Bills Approval:  Motion by to approve bills as presented on check #s 10789 – 10812  for a total amount of  $63,058.73;  Second by

Treasurer’s report read and filed.

Unfinished Business (all votes were by voice vote)

·         Motion by Benish to increase wage for part-time employee C. VanBeek to $20 per hour;  Second by Bonnett  -M/C

New Business (all votes were by voice vote)

·         Motion by Benish to adopt Budget Resolution 2017-001 transferring $12,393 from Unreserved/Undesignated Fund to Revenues/Other Financing Sources account:  Second by Bonnett  -M/C

·         Motion by Benish to adopt Budget Resolution 2017-002 transferring $1,915 from Revenues/Public Charges for Services/Parks/User Fees to  Expenditures/Recreation Facilities account:  Second by Bonnett  -M/C

·         Motion by Benish to adopt Budget Resolution 2017-003 transferring $12,393 from Revenues/Other Financing to Expenditures/Transportation account;  Second by Borud  -M/C

                 

Discussion

Ø  Oxford Sno-Mads:  requesting to re-open County G to County I snowmobile trail.  Referred to AC Highway Department

Ø  Fire District Update:  Memorial for Karl Spath possible with no taxpayer funds to be used;   Air tanks needed updating; new tanks were purchased for $82,000 which were paid for by the volunteer firefighters using the funds acquired from fund-raising events

Ø  Adams County Update:  jail needs remodeling as mandated by State

Ø  Roads:  Brushing started;  Freedom Road project to begin with drainage issues as first priority;  Road Review will be done after April election.

Ø  Comprehensive Plan:  draft completed;  Public Hearing scheduled for 3/28/17 at 7PM
